I've been accused of this all my life of being "too white", simply because my mother insisted that we speak English and not ghetto gibberish!
I don't like Jesse Jackson, never did; and Al Sharpton should check out who's acting white with his straightened locks. We can take any event and make out of it what we want. This is constantly being done on both sides of the color line.
Our society is very confused as to what is acceptable anymore.
Fingers are pointed everywhere.
Who is in and who is out?
It's' all how you look at it.
I have never been comfortable in an all black society. I am at my best in a multicultural society. You see, I'm just one of God's many colorful flowers in his garden.... The Garden of Eden now needs weedin'.
There are too many Jacksons and Sharpton's running around the country jumping into any cause.They actually hurt a cause when they show up today!
On the other side of the color barrier Gloria Allred comes to mind. They have become the Jerry Springer's of minority and female civil rights groups, and make the cause highly suspect to many when they show up.
I call them "opportunistic infections' looking for a host to prey upon.
I know they turn me off, and I've heard many others say the same thing!!!!!
I was uncomfortable in the 70's when everyone was shouting with James Brown, " I'm Black and I'm proud". I said then that I was more proud of being American than being black. I wasn't popular in the black community then either. There are even some of my family members that say my sister, brother and I are not black enough.
What they are really saying is that we chose to get an education, use it, and continue to expand our intelligence. People who choose not to that are jealous of those who do.
No, I guess just like Obama.....I'm just not black enough.....but I am Red-White & Blue enough to care about the destruction of this nation. It's in pitiful shape, and getting worse day by day!
