QUASH the MOSQUE?

In New York City, Muslims are planning to construct a 13-story mosque and multi-purpose facility within hollering distance of Ground Zero. So far, local government is approving the plan. At first blush, such a proposed edifice would appear – at least legally – to be non-controversial. Among the citizenry, however, there is a gathering chorus of, “No Way!” Therein lies the constitutional dilemma.

As the pro forma, bureaucratic steps are inh process, inquiries have been made as to the:

1.    Reason for the proposed location

2.    Proposed function of the facility

3.    Principal actors involved

4.    Source of funding

The correspondingly numbered results of those inquiries are disturbing:

1.    The reason for the proximity of the mosque to the former World Trade Center, supposedly, is for visible atonement for the foul deed perpetrated by fellow Muslims..

2.    The facility, to be open to all, is to contain an international study center; a space for sports; and other worthy community endeavors. Following are the sinister aspects:

3.    The imam acting as the guiding light for this project, through his documented statements and other means, has been tied to Jihadi thought and other anti-infidel activity.

4.    The initial, start-up funding seems to have come from a comparably skewed organization. The source of the remaining bulk of building funds has not been revealed.

Ordinarily, such a building, in such a place, would not require scrutiny beyond that which usually is applied to any other building venture. This situation, however, presents us with questions not anticipated by the Constitution, as presently it stands. That is to say, the proposed builders apparently are within their constitutional rights to proceed. It is believed that this is merely another step toward their goal of instituting the practice of Sharia law. Of course, Sharia law is antithetical to our Constitution-based legal statutes. But, how do we treat Sharia – a religion-bound system of laws – vis-à-vis the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment? Some outspoken Muslims in Western countries, including the USA, currently are pushing for the right to practice Sharia among their adherents.

AS the “Cool Hand Luke” character would say, “What we have heah is a fail-yah to communicate!” What we have “heah” is a Fifth Column! We had best wake up, post haste! Consider:

·       The month of burning autos in Paris – and the impotence of the gendarmes…

·       The anti-West rhetoric of Hyde Park in London

·       The British struggle with attempts to advance Sharia law practice…

·       The Muslim hold over much of English life…

·       Apartments in Hamburg, Germany housed several of the 9/11 participants…

·       The devastating train bombings in Madrid that affected a Spanish election…

·       The murder of Theo Van Gogh in Amsterdam, and the five-page note pinned to his body with a knife, which among other things threatened Western democracies.

·       The chilling hold a growing and assertive Muslim population has upon the Dutch…

·       A young, female MP of Somali extraction who resigned her post under pain of Fatwa…

·       The chilling hold a growing and assertive Muslim population has upon life in the Netherlands

·       Today, on the streets of New York City, Muslims inveighing against infidels and praising Jihad – and proselytizing young adherents, such as the two taken off planes, over the weekend, headed for Somalia and the chance to war against U.S. troops…

A suggested amendment for the Constitution of the United States of America:

“…congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, except for those religions that foster the practice of civil and criminal law…)

It is useful to note that the Moors (Muslims) – although they constructed beautiful edifices – occupied Spain for 700 years. They were militarily ousted at the same time that Columbus began his epic voyages in 1492.

They don’t even bother to build beautiful edifices anymore – except mosques!!!
