BIG-TOP TEPEE

The Tea Partiers have decided to celebrate the New Year by toilet-papering the Republican Party clown house. Appropriately, this culminates a year of very entertaining, but pitiful, P.T. Barnum, political pandering in the GOP, presidential-hopeful dressing room.

This was preceded by constantly humiliating Barry the Clown, in his lopsided, top hat and bright-patched, ill-fitting tuxedo, in the Ringling Brothers main tent. Constantly, they would suck him in, and then deflate him with a Lucy football-snatch-away. The Tea Partiers were able to accomplish all of this by intermittently hogtying Bozo Boehner and compelling him to do their bidding.

Now, it appears the Tea Party-poopers may have overplayed their hand. In this latest hogtying of Bozo Boehner, they have failed to notice that Barry the Clown has doffed his previously threadbare apparel and reappeared as Ring Master, replete with white top hat, red cutaway, spiffy boots and a crackling whip.

So, whether or not, at the eleventh hour, the Tea Party congresistas come to their “senses” and untie Bozo Boehner – thereby allowing him to avoid imposing a New Year tax-burden on the presently put-upon populace, before the clock strikes midnight – they already are doomed to perpetual political parody under the GOP Big Top.
