Das Kapital: Is it the pristine, untouchable Christianity among the religion of economic systems? Or, is it, in reality, “Dr. Venture and Mr. Vulture”? The latter is the albatross that Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry are attempting to lay about the shoulders of Mitt Romney. Who knew the Right-Wing’s resentment of Mitt Romney was so venomous that it would take the form of this unprecedented and sacrilegious attack upon sainted Capitalism? One would be hard-put to imagine even Democratic politicians to disparage even the seamiest side of our sacred model of exacting uncounted and unquestioned pounds of flesh!

Nevertheless, there it is: two losing contenders for the GOP presidential nomination, vociferously calling out the frontrunner for practicing vulture capitalism, as opposed to a more staid venture capitalism. All the Democrats can do is stand on the sidelines in wonder at the spectacle of Republicans savaging themselves in such unseemly GOP fashion. That party’s main talking-point against the Demos is that they practice, Class Warfare. This was stressed when Demo leaders supported the Occupy Wall Street movement, which accuses the greedy one per cent of the moneyed class of getting astronomically richer at the expense of the gradually impoverishing, ninety-nine per cent of the populace. The Democrats will take this generous gift from the Republicans – and wait patiently until they deliver on a more practical and fair distribution of our national wealth.

Two pols, full of gross disenchantment,

Could no longer hide their resentment.

“Although its ‘mild venture’, you said

“Crass ‘vultures’ pick over the dead.”

The party’s forecast is, “Inclement.”
